Lee Robert Holt, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and pillar of his community, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in Ogden, Utah, on September 1, 1946, to Robert John and Elizabeth Ann Holt, Lee lived a life defined by love, service, integrity, and entrepreneurial spirit.

A proud American, Lee served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1992, including active duty aboard the USS Denver (LPD-9) during the Vietnam War. His dedication to country remained a lifelong source of pride and purpose, and he continued to advocate for Utah's veterans long after his military service ended.

Lee was part of the first graduating class of Clearfield High School and made history as the school's first male cheerleader—a role that reflected his enthusiasm, leadership, and willingness to lead with heart.

He went on to earn multiple bachelor's degrees in Science, Communication, and Finance, laying the foundation for a remarkable career in real estate and business. In 1971, he founded Roy Realty, becoming a respected leader in Utah's real estate community. Beyond his success as a realtor, Lee was a dedicated educator and mentor, committed to raising the bar for real estate professionals. His entrepreneurial spirit also led him to own and operate several successful businesses throughout his life.

Lee's warm and joyful personality shone brightest each holiday season, when he brought magic to life as Santa Claus—a role that earned him the distinction of "Best Santa" by Channel 2 News, a title he cherished deeply.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jean Holt, and their four children: Kristen Floyd (Mark), Ryan Holt, Kimberly Johnson (Dustin), and Amy Eggerman (Scott). He found immense joy in his grandchildren Jocilyn Malan, Brayden Floyd (Mandi), Braxton Floyd (Liz), Rikayle Donoviel (Dayton), Andrew Johnson, Bailey Johnson, Ashton Johnson, Kyler Eggerman, Brynlee Eggerman, and Matti Eggerman and his great-granddaughter Maeve, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his soon-to-be great-grandchild, Mac.

Lee was preceded in death by his father, Robert John Holt; mother, Elizabeth Ann Holt; stepmother, Marge Holt; father-in-law, Johnny Johnson; and mother-in-law, Veloy Johnson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, with a viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral and graveside services with full military honors from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah 84403.
