Lena S Bertagnolli Lena S. Bertagnolli, 92, died on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, in McCall Idaho. She was born February 22, 1919 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, the daughter of Savina and Bertolo Julian. She married Joseph Bertagnolli of Ogden on June 12, 1937.Lena lived most of her life in Ogden managing the Mountain View Motel and caring for her large extended family. In her late years she also lived for awhile in Cheyenne, WY. and McCall, ID. Lena enjoyed life, especially caring for her children and grandchildren. She was an active volunteer with the Saint Marys Church Altar Society. She was involved with her husband in the Ogden and Utah Motel Owners Association. She and her husband Joe enjoyed social times spent at the Ogden Elks Lodge. Travel and fishing opportunities were always a special treat for Lena. Friends and family knew they were always welcome in her home. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and one sister. She is survived by two sisters and one brother in Seattle, WA., and one sister in Sacramento, CA. She is also survived by her three children, Joe (Pam) Bertagnolli of Cheyenne, WY., Janice (Alois) Martin of New Meadows, ID., and David (Marianne) Bertagnolli of Ogden, UT., plus eight grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. The Holy Rosary service will begin at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, March 18, at St. Marys Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven, UT., followed by a Funeral Mass service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will be at the Leavitts Aultorest Mausoleum, 836 36th Street, Ogden, UT.Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life reception following the Entombment services (4:00 p.m.) at Leavitts Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make a donation to your favorite charity or the Alzheimers Association (alz.org) in the name of her husband Joseph Bertagnolli.
