Lew Earschil White Jr.

Lew E. White, 85, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2022 from natural causes.

Lew was born on June 24, 1936 to Lew White Sr. and Lucille Foster in Reno, Nevada.

After Lew graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1955, he went on to join and serve our country with the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged.

He later found the true love of his life, Susan White, and they were married for 35 years.

Lew worked in the construction business as a backhoe operator for Knudson Construction and Whitaker Construction. After Lew’s retirement, he and Susan spent a lot of their time together at their cabin in Scare Canyon.  They also enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending the winter months in Mesquite, Nevada.  Lew was an enthusiastic outdoorsman, excelling at hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling.

Lew is survived by his lovely wife Susan, sister Gayle Acton, children Scott White, Jackie (Dirk) Purser, Michelle Broderick, Mickael (Cindy) White, Brett (Shelly) Kemp, Jeff (Tracee) Kemp, Ron (Carlene) Kemp, and Dan (Michelle) Kemp.  He had 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Lew was predeceased by his son Curtis White, his father Lew White Sr., and his mother Lucille Foster.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date to honor Lew, a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.  He will be missed by all of us!

The family wishes to express their gratitude to every staff member at the Hidden Valley Assisted Living facility for the remarkable love and care they gave to Lew.  You are all angels and Lew White loved and appreciated each one of you!
