Linda Ann Anderson passed away March 7, 2015 after a short battle with lung cancer. Linda was born March 22, 1942 to Oscar and Agatha Rice in Ogden, Utah. Linda attended Ben Lomond High School. She married Charles Ernest Smith in 1958; after he passed away in 1962 she married Darrell Raymond Anderson in 1976. They later divorced. Linda was employed at Walhquist Junior High for the last 11 years. She was the "lunch lady", and loved all the kids she got to serve over the years. She loved fishing and camping with her sister in the Uintahs. She also loved cooking and feeding everyone around her. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She taught them to cook and loved taking them fishing. They all knew the fishing song. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Linda is survived by her daughters: Patty Smith Vine, Wendy (Ricky) Alms, Cindy Hill, Jody (Brandan) Taylor, nine grandchildren: Chris, Brody, Donald, Brandy, Tara, Loren, Aleigha, Dawson and Madyson. She had eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother: John Rice and three sisters: Verna Uram, Ladene Stemm and June Allen along with several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by both parents, one sister, Elva, one brother, Oscar Rice, two nieces and both of her husbands. Funeral Services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, UT, Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and one hour prior to Services from 10:00 - 10:45 am. Private Graveside Services will be held Saturday at Willard Cemetery.
