Linda Jennea Jones Carter

Our beloved Linda Carter returned home to her loving Heavenly Father on Monday, November 1, 2021, after a long battle with cancer.

Linda was born April 29, 1945, the fifth of eight children born to Willis and Ruby Jones in Ogden, Utah. She lived in various states while growing up.
While in Alaska she married Gary Schaffer on September 8th, 1962, and they had one daughter together- Justina “Tina” Catherine Schaffer. They later divorced but stayed friends throughout their lives.
Her daughter Tina brought her much joy and blessed her with three grandchildren- Blake, Brooke, and Brekka.
Linda worked and retired from Kimberly-Clark Corp.
Linda enjoyed family and friend get-togethers, loved music and dancing, and was always the life of the party. Linda had a big heart, loved to help anyone that needed it, her grandchildren were the loves of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, and her daughter. We take heart in knowing there is a wonderful reunion happening.
She is survived by two sisters; Barbara Davis and Pat (Ron) Holbrook, one brother; Willis (Joann) Jones, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; Cannon, Izaiah, Jaxon, and Mila.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 12th, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing from 1:00 -1:45 p.m. held prior to the service at Leavitt’s Mortuary- 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
