Linda Mead Todesco of Arvada, Colorado passed away October 19, 2022, at the age of 61. Linda was born to Oliver “Wendell” Mead and Donna Pope on November 14, 1960, in Ogden, Utah. In her youth Linda loved to hike and spend time outdoors while growing up in Ogden Canyon. She graduated from Weber High School in 1979. On September 7, 1984, Linda married John Mottes Todesco in Ogden, UT. After spending the first 24 years of her life in Ogden, she and her husband John moved to Denver, Colorado in 1985. Together, Linda and John grew their family and raised their two boys, Stephen and Michael, in Denver, CO.
Linda worked as a technician and office manager in optometry practices for many years. Later, she became a caregiver for seniors, a job that she considered her true passion as she loved being with her many clients and patients. Linda lived a life of compassion for others and always thought about what she could do for them and not for herself. Linda was a member of the Colorado Mineral Society, and she was a rockhound and collected rocks and minerals from different states including Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. She loved collecting rocks with smiley faces; they brought great joy to her and the family, and they will always be treasured. She loved hiking in the Colorado Mountains and the deserts of southern Utah to see arches and petroglyphs and pictographs and she especially loved the Temple of the Sun and Moon in Capitol Reef National Park. Linda greatly enjoyed traveling, camping, and festivals. She was a nurturer and had a soft spot for cats, having loved many during her lifetime, and she loved tending to her plants with an impressive green thumb. But more than anything else, Linda loved her boys. Family was very important to Linda, and she was the glue that held it all together.
Linda is preceded in death by her mother Donna and father Wendell. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, John, and their two sons Stephen (Kristina) and Michael (Tina), brother Douglas (Tami) Mead, cousin Tammy, niece Shellie, nephew Kevin and many more beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 13th at 2:00pm at The Church Ranch Event Center at 10200 Wadsworth Blvd, Westminster, CO.
