Linden Hall Belnap was born in Rexburg, Idaho, November 17, 1929 to goodly parents, George Ellis and Mabel Hall Belnap, the 8th of 12 children.
He grew up in Hooper, UT on the family farm where he learned the value of hard work.
Lin attended Hooper School, Weber High School and Weber College. He joined the U.S. Army in 1948 and served 2 years at Fort Ord, California.
He went to work at Hill Air Force Base and retired in 1985 after 37 years (as a Logistic Supervisor); then he went to work for Thiokol as a Tech Writer for the PeaceKeeper Missile. Lin retired from there in 1991.
Lin married Lois Marion Kresier in October 1956. His daughter Pam was born on August 27, 1966. Lois passed away in 1991. Lin married Diana Seffker in May 1996 in the Ogden L.D.S. Temple.
Lin enjoyed hunting, hiking, fishing, golfing, growing a garden and traveling, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family.
Lin played basketball until he was 60 years old. In his earlier years he enjoyed coaching basketball and baseball. He was an avid B.Y.U. fan.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he held many callings both Stake and Ward. He served on the High Council two times under three different Stake Presidents.
Lin is survived by his wife (Diana), daughter Pam (David) Blanks; stepsons Harry (Patti) Seffker and Grant Seffker; 17 grandchildren; 3 brothers LaGrande (Beverly), Dar, Bud (Ann); 2 sisters Iola Murray, Audrey Hobson; many nieces and nephews and their children; brother-in-laws Ken (Shauna) Walker, Gary Walker, Terry Walker; and sisters-in-law Susan Carsten, Judy (Butch) Loger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Lois, brothers Lowell, Veloy, Gary; and sisters Thora, Elma and Vola.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church at 5100 South 350 West, Washington Terrrace, UT. There will be a viewing Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 6:00 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT and one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the L.D.S. General Missionary Fund.
Interment will be at Hooper Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded.
