Lisa Ann Vipperman's Obituary

Lisa Ann Vipperman, 56, passed away at home on August 16, 2017. She was born on November 29, 1960. She was the second of six children born to Robert and Joyce Vipperman. Lisa graduated from South High School in 1979. She received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Utah in 1987 becoming a first generation college graduate igniting her passion for education and reading. She married Kirk Wangsgard on May 23, 1998 in Ogden. She received her Masters Degree from Weber State University in 2015. Lisa taught English at Highland Junior High for eleven years. She loved helping students improve their reading skills. Lisa also enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting family at reunions. She was a huge animal lover her whole life. Lisa was a proud member of the American Federation of Teachers and enjoyed serving on the Board of Directors for Midtown Clinic. She is survived by her husband, Kirk Wangsgard; sisters Linda, Janet (Ben), Joyce (Gary); brothers Robert (Denise) and Craig. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 6 8 pm and Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 2 pm. Both will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden, UT. Interment at: Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
