Lita, 79, passed away suddenly on June 22, 2022, in Ogden, Utah.
She was born April 30, 1943, in Taos, New Mexico, to Samuel and Jenny Crawford. She was raised by her grandparents Sam and Liberidita Martinez. She had 20 siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and close family friends.
Lita married the love of her life Isaac A. Vigil Sr. on October 31, 1959, in Monte Vista, Colorado at St. Joseph’s Catholic church. They moved to Ogden, Utah in 1964. Where they had four children: Cathy – Vivian – Isaac Jr. – Christy.
Lita is a beloved grandmother to eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren and expecting a little miracle on the way.
Lita retired from Alsco Inc. after 34 years. Her favorite hobbies included bossing/supervising all of us. Sitting in her favorite chair doing her word searches, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She loved to play on her tablet winning big bucks on slotomania and getting on Facebook even though she said she didn’t know how to work it ha-ha…She also loved to read books and bake up a storm with her daughters and grandchildren.
We as a family are going to miss her immensely and cherish every moment and memory, we have gotten to share with her. Canning salsa was our biggest family tradition that we all will cherish forever. We will continue to keep our family tradition alive cause we know she will be right there with us giving us that Lita look. Want to thank her for all the love she gave us and cookies she made us. We love you Mom / Grams.
Lita is survived by her children: Cathy (Diego) Chavez; Vivian (Dave) Barrientos.
Isaac Jr. (Teri) Vigil; Christy (Hilario) Anzar. Brothers: Mike (Carol) Crawford; Pat Crawford; Sister: Frances Lewis. Grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.
Proceeded in death her beloved husband Isaac A. Vigil Sr., Grandson Marcos Manuel Vigil, her sister Betty-Joe Coronado, Her side-kick Scooby and many other family members.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday July 6, 2022, 10 A.M. at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park 836 36th St Ogden, Utah 84403.
Celebration of life will be held right after at Potter's House 431 W 1425 N, Layton, Utah 84041
