Lloyd Henry Bossman, 75, our beloved husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, and brother peacefully completed his earthly journey surrounded by his loved ones on March 20, 2022.
Lloyd Bossman was the youngest of six children, born November 20, 1948, in Sioux Falls, SD to Justus and Roberta Bossman. He was a graduate from Lyons High School and attended Southern Methodist University. In his early years, he met his forever sweetheart, Linda Johnson. They married in Crooks, SD on July 17th, 1965.
At 17, Lloyd enlisted into the United States Air Force where he proudly served for 20 years. He was stationed in Minot ND, Spangdahlem Germany, Holloman AFB New Mexico, Korat Thailand, Travis AFB and Lakenheath AFB, England. He retired in Sacramento at the McClellan AFB as a Master Sergeant. He worked as a civilian employee at McClellan AFB in Sacramento, California and Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah. He retired and they made their forever home in Pleasant View, UT.
Lloyd loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and boating. He wore many hats; his favorite was that of grandpa and great papa. He always looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Above all, he loved doing all of this with his lifelong best friend, Linda.
He has shown unconditional love to everyone brought into his life, but nothing compared to his love for Linda. He truly cherished her through the good and the bad, they were a perfect example of what true love is.
Lloyd’s life will be cherished by all.
He is survived by the love of his life; his wife Linda Bossman of 56 years; his two sons, Michael Bossman (Heather) of Utah and Rick Bossman (Tammy) of California. Sisters, Darlene Jones of South Dakota and Betty Lyons (George) of Ohio; his four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: His parents; Justus and Roberta
Bossman, his brothers; Bob, Jim, and Donnie Bossman, and his great grandson Easton Bossman.
Military honors will be presented during the service by Hill AFB and the VFW.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary Aultorest and Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
Family visitation only on Friday from 1-2pm. at the mortuary.
Funeral Services will be live streamed for those who are unable to attend.
We truly appreciate the outpouring of love and support that has been given to our family at this time.
A special thanks to all of the nurses and doctors at McKay Dee Hospital.
