Obituary

Logan James Martinez

August 12, 2001 – March 17, 2026

Logan James Martinez, a gentle soul, passed away on March 17, 2026, in Riverdale, Utah. Born on August 12, 2001, in Scottsdale, Arizona, Logan was defined by a deep sensitivity, a sharp intellect, and a quiet, observant nature.

From the time he was a young boy, Logan was a seeker. He found wonder in the natural world, intrigued by dinosaurs and spending his early years collecting rocks and fossils, and discovering nature’s smaller wonders, from fish and lizards to the smallest of insects. As he grew, that curiosity turned toward the world of mechanics and data. He possessed a high aptitude for detail and a rare gift for memorizing information, whether it was the complex statistics of exotic sports cars or the technical specifications of military hardware.

As he matured, Logan’s analytical mind was balanced by the soul of an artist. He taught himself to play the guitar, finding a creative outlet in music that allowed him to express his inner world. He also discovered a profound talent for working with his hands. In his woodworking classes, Logan truly excelled, frequently praised by his instructors for his meticulous attention to detail and his talent for joinery. He was a creator who found peace in the act of building, turning raw materials into something of lasting value.

Logan was intellectually engaged in the world around him; he followed politics with interest and never shied away from a good debate. He possessed the rare courage to express a differing opinion and stood firmly by his beliefs, always bringing his vast knowledge and sharp wit to the table. While navigating his professional future, he was drawn to the dignity of skilled trades, particularly intrigued by the electrical and automotive mechanic professions.

Logan’s greatest strength was his kind and genuine heart. He was profoundly sensitive to the feelings of others and moved through the world with a gentle spirit.

In his honor, Logan’s family asks that we remember the vital importance of genuine human connection and the courage it takes to be vulnerable. Sometimes the most capable hands and the most brilliant minds struggle to find the words to ask for help. Please honor Logan’s memory by looking out for one another—by offering a patient ear, a helping hand, and a compassionate heart to those who may be carrying silent burdens.

Family

Logan is survived by his parents, Gaybrielle Greene and Jamie Edwards Martinez; his siblings, Brenna Larsen and Lorenzo Fragale; and his grandparents, Christine Martinez, Al Michael Greene, and Marsha Greene. He also leaves behind a niece and nephew, as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Martinez.
