Lois W. McKay, 91, passed away surrounded by her family August 19, 2015. She was born December 13, 1923 to James and Margaret Harbertson Warner in Ogden, Utah. Lois graduated from Ogden High School. She married her sweetheart Glenn Arwell McKay April 14, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was blessed with two sons, Don and Bob who she loved dearly. She was a lifelong resident of Ogden and a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Lois served as a Primary Teacher for 21 years, a Visiting Teacher, Compassionate Service Leader and Sunday School Teacher. Lois and Glenn served two LDS missions to the Ogden Genealogy Library.
She worked as a secretary for the Chapel of Flowers Mortuary & Boyle Furniture.
Lois is survived by her son, Don (Sherry) McKay; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a daughter- in-law Caren McKay.
She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn; son, Robert (Bob) McKay; her parents; a sister, Margaret Boyle; brothers, Dale and Don Warner and two infant brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Waterfall Canyon LDS Ward Chapel, 3254 Polk Ave., Ogden, Utah. Family will greet friends Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Family is also greeting friends prior to services on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 10:00 to 10:30 am at the Waterfall Canyon LDS Ward Chapel.
