Lois was born in Ogden, Utah to Milton and Vera (Tracy) Cawley on June 19th, 1923. She lived her whole life in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School. She married James C. Paquette on March 12, 1942 and they enjoyed many trips throughout the country and Europe. Lois and Jim had four children: Jimmy, Kathy (Jay) Jarvis, Connie Mills and Doug. They had seven grandchildren: Jason (Monica) Anderson, Kelly Mills, Michelle (Gavin) Harper, April Paquette, Jennifer Paquette, Nicole (Dave) Barfuss, and Danielle (Ethan) Vaughn. They have 15 great-grandchildren. She was a loving and generous mother and grandmother. Lois and her family enjoyed yearly trips to Yellowstone, as well as Lake Powell, camping trips, and visiting Connie and Doug in Alaska. She also traveled to Hawaii several times as well as Mexico. She loved gardening and caring for her beautiful rose bushes. Lois had a close relationship with her niece, Lynda (Cawley) and her husband Brent Goucher, as well Judy and Arlen Baird. The family would like to thank the people of A Step Forward, especially Kristy and Christina for their excellent care and compassion in keeping Mom comfortable. Lois was preceded in death by her husband and their son Jimmy. She was the last survivor of both her and Jims siblings and their spouses: Ray and Ann Cawley, Glenn and Lorene Cawley, Harold and Shirley Cawley, Mary Paquette and Don Marshall, LaRaine Paquette, Waide Newcomb and Bob and Ruth Paquette. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Leavitts Mortuary 836-36th St., Ogden, Utah on Monday, November 24th from 6:00-8:00 pm as well as one hour prior to service. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 25th at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park next to her husband Jim and her son Jimmy.
