IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lola R.
Hokanson
August 31, 1936 – January 25, 2025
Lola Ranae Kapp Hokanson passed away January 25th, 2025.
She was born on august 31st 1936 to Siemon (Sam) Kapp and Lela Cude Kapp in Ogden Utah. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1954.
On June 25th, 1956, Lola married Walter B. Hokanson in Morgan, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Lola adored her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She was always doting over them. Bringing them treats and making memories with them. Swimming, going for walks, playing Yahtzee, watching jazz games, and catching night crawlers are fond memories.
Lola had a strong work ethic and would always go the extra mile. She took pride in everything that she had done. She was especially gifted at taking care of those who were sick or in ill health. She always knew exactly what to do. Under her care one almost looked forward to getting sick. Lola loved Christmas time. Every year she would make delicious candy and hundreds of sugar cookies for her Children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren to decorate.
She enjoyed watching sports, (especially the Jazz) taking care of her garden, and canning for her family.
She made everyone feel special and would always let us know how proud she was and how much she loved us. We love you, Mom!
She was preceded in death by Her Husband Walter B. Hokanson, two sons Baby Boy Hokanson, Walter Douglas Hokanson, her parents Sam and Lela Kapp, and one sister Carol Kapp.
Lola is survived by five children: Kathy (Darrell) Allison, Newport News Virginia; Nancy (David) Corey, West Point; Karol (James) Newman, West Point; Andrew (Tricia) Hokanson, Plain City; Jennifer (Jeff) Connell, Hooper. She is the proudest Grandmother of 25 grandchildren and 45 (and counting) great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Virginia Hall, and Marilyn Howard.
