Lori V. Bartlett (Short), age 48, passed away suddenly in her sleep at home on Saturday, April 2, 2014. She was born January 28, 1965 to Daniel Short and Iris Thompson. Lori and Kelly were married on December 12, 1987 in Elko, Nevada. They had three children, Ronald F. King II and Kimberly I. Bartlett, whom reside in Washington; and William D. Bartlett, who resides in Alabama. Lori is also survived by her sister Shelly Short, her brother Frank Short and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Lori graduated from high school in 1988, and went on to further her education graduating from Hotel and Restaurant Management in 1993; she went further on and graduated from MTA Truck Driver School and received her CDL with Hazmat Certification in 1998. Lori worked different jobs during her career including; restaurants, nursing homes, Davis County on Aging, over-the-road semi driving where she was able to visit (at least drive through) all 48 continental U.S. state. Lori was presently employed by the Davis County School District as a school bus driver for the special needs students whom she loved. She spoke about how good they were every day when she came home from work. Lori was the most wonderful and excellent wife and partner that any person could have wished for and will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 2, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836-36th St., Ogden. Friends may visit with the family from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Leavitts Mortuary.
