Lori Gene Buist DeMille, 59, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019. She was born in Brigham City, Utah, on September 16, 1959, the daughter of Harvey Rulon and Bonnie LaFreniere Buist. She graduated from Box Elder High School. She was a Historical Romance Novelist. She published 3 books and had just finished her fourth. She had many more in the works. Lori was a member of the Catholic Church. She loved her cat and best friend, Smokey. She enjoyed cross stitching, crafts, and making jewelry. Lori is survived by her sons, Anthony DeMille and Zachary Simpson; daughter, J.J. Prindle; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Jack Buist and James Buist, nieces, Nicki Britton, and Dina Nay; and many other nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Susanne Farley and Nita Potter; brother, Randy Buist; and two infant siblings. Friends may visit with family on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, UT.
