On June 26, 2014 our beloved wife, mother and grandma passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side. LouRae was born September 13, 1933 to Preston Racine Mathews and Beatrice Louise Reeder in Ogden, Utah. LouRae grew up in Terra Haute, Indiana and later moved to Ogden, Utah with her Grandma Louie Ada Reeder. LouRae met Dale Norman, her future husband, at the Pilot Cafe. They were married in Randolph, Utah on August 10, 1949 and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 16, 1953. Together they had seven children whom she loved very dearly and was a very devoted mom, grandma and great-grandma. She worked at McKay Dee Hospital, where she was a very dedicated employee and acquired a lot of dear friends through her job. LouRae is survived by her husband, Dale, of 65 years; her children; Rick (Bonnie) Norman, Michael (Ronda) Norman, Carla Rae Norman, Cindy (Robin) Howell, Kevin (Stephanie) Norman; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brothers Jack and Ron Blue. She was preceded in death by daughter, Raylene Norman Smiley, infant son, Dale Racine, and her parents. Private family graveside services will be held at the Ogden City Cemetery.
