Luanne "Lu" Goucher Skinner, of Eden, Utah, died on January 17, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Luanne was born June 28, 1932 in Ogden, a daughter of Harold Lee and Hilda Watkins Goucher. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1950 and resided in Ogden until she moved to "The Garden of Eden", as she referred to it. In 1970 Lu married Bradley J. Skinner, and in 1983 they moved to Eden, Utah, and became involved in the sales and rental of Wolf Lodge Condominiums. Her husband and family were her first concerns. She loved them all dearly and was "best friends" with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At age 63, she and three of her adult grandchildren shared the special experience of "Skydiving" and she did it several times.She was employed by attorneys Paul and David Kunz, as a legal secretary for 30 years, retiring in 1987 to become a Realtor. She worked with her husband in their Real Estate and Property Management business and had rental condominiums at Wolf Lodge. A member of the LDS Wolf Creek Ward, she had served in many musical and teaching capacities throughout her life. Lu had served as a Volunteer Ski Patroller at Snowbasin for 18 years, and held offices as Secretary, Intermountain Division Secretary, and the first woman appointed to the position of Assistant National Director of the NSPS. She had been a member of the Ogden Legal Secretaries Assn. She had also been active in waterskiing and jumping competition in her younger days. Surviving are her husband, Brad, four daughters by a former marriage: Marcie (Lamar) Bott, Kay (Rex) Peterson, Tami Wallerstein, and Teri (Mark) Downey; two step-children, Randy Skinner and Christine (Gene) Bybee; six granddaughters: Angi (Travis) Toone, Sydney (Joshua) Bond, Brooke Peterson, Ashley (Matt) Kelly, Daniele (Jeremy) McReynolds and Shelbi Stonehocker; five grandsons: Gifford (Erin) Bott, Blake Bott, Tyson (Kiani) Wallerstein, Chris (Crystal) Stonehocker and Jason Holody; 17 great-grandchildren: Kobyn, Breckyn, Brightyn, Aspyn and Skylyn Bond; Amberlyn Peterson; Jake and Jackson Toone; Gabriel, Caroline and Simon Bott; and Tylin and Addison Kelly; Hunter and Savanah Wallerstein; Paisley and Bentley McReynolds. She is also survived by her brother, Brent Goucher. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sisters: Joan Kay Goucher and Zyrel Bonnar and grandson, Wesley Hadley. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the Wolf Creek LDS Ward 2900 North Highway 162 in Eden, Utah. Family will meet friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013, and one hour prior to the service also at the Church. (Please allow an extra 20 minutes for canyon construction delays.)Interment will follow at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
