IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Luis
Bonilla-Aguirre
August 22, 1987 – February 6, 2026
Luis Esteban Bonilla-Aguirre passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 6, 2026. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed by all who knew him, especially by his beloved wife, Monica, who was his partner in life, love, and every dream they shared. Together, it was always "us against the world."
Luis was a creator at heart. He had a gift for building and remodeling homes, transforming spaces into places of beauty, warmth, and comfort. With his hands and his vision, he made
not only houses but homes — including the one he and Monica shared, which stands as a reflection of his care, creativity, and love.
Family meant everything to Luis. He deeply loved his sisters and his family, and he embraced Monica's family as his own. He also had a tender heart for their four beloved cats — Boots, Blacky, Mini, and Sally — whom he cherished and cared for with affection and devotion.
Above all else, Luis loved his wife with his whole heart. His love was steady, protective, and unconditional. Monica was his person, his greatest joy, and the center of his world. The love they shared was profound, loyal, and unbreakable — a love that continues even now.
Luis is now at peace and in the presence of God. Though his life was taken far too soon, those who loved him find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and is surrounded by eternal light and love.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, craftsmanship, devotion, and love — love that will live on in every memory, every space he touched, and every heart forever changed by knowing him.
A Celebration of Life for Luis will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, 836,36th Street, Ogden.
