Lynn Glen Mickelson passed away peacefully May 2, 2025, at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home (Ogden, UT). Lynn was born May 9, 1940, in Preston Idaho and grew up in Ogden, Utah.

He served four years in the Navy aboard the USS Boxer and USS Kitty Hawk. Lynn was proud to have served his country and about bringing the USS Kitty Hawk around the horn to San Diego.

Lynn left the service in 1962 and married his Sweetheart Kathleen Hadley on September 27, 1963. They had four daughters and lived primarily in Utah.

Lynn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. Lynn and Kathy were sealed for eternity in the Ogden Utah Temple. Lynn served in many callings in the church, his favorite was being the Young Men's President. Lynn and Kathy were blessed to serve in the temple as they served two temple missions. One took them to Atlanta Georgia and another to Washington DC. The temple was one of his favorite places to be and he loved serving the Lord.

Lynn credits his life to his beautiful wife and goodly parents who continually prayed on his behalf. He knows that these prayers helped get him through his early years and continued to guide him throughout his life.

Lynn was an avid golfer, loved fishing, hunting, talking about his days in the Navy and his Lazy Boy.

Lynn is survived by his four daughters, Terry Lee d'Selkie (Comptche, CA) Christine (Gregg) London (Willard, UT), Tracie Lyn (Roger) Graven (Layton, UT), and Lisa Katherine (Michael) Lee (Ogden, UT.), eight grandkids, 12 great grandkids, and 1 great-great grandson, 1 sister and 3 brothers.

Lynn is preceded in death by his parents (Abraham Leroy and Betty Crane Mickelson), his two brothers (Chad and Kent Mickelson), and his beloved sweetheart Kathleen Hadley Mickelson.

Thank you to the staff at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home for the love and care they had for our dad during his last days. They were truly amazing and helped him feel comfortable. He always referred to them as his angels. They really were truly amazing angels who loved and cared for him like he was their own family.
