Ella Margaret (Peggy) McCully Donley passed away peacefully on August 2, 2017, at the age of 90.
Born May 23, 1927, in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Visnofsky) McCully. She grew up in Ramey, Pennsylvania, where their family owned a small Buick Dealership and Garage. She only ever drove a Buick.
She graduated from Penn State and always loved any news about the Nittany Lions.
She married Glenn Donley in April of 1953. They had three sons. They moved to Utah in 1965 when Glenn was transferred to Hill Air Force Base. She would often say, " who would have thought I would have ended up here" in Utah. She certainly had her hands full raising three boys, especially with Glenn often away on TDY. She and the boys did manage to join him on some trips, and there were some interesting travel stories, like the time they went to Bermuda.
Everyone enjoyed working with Peggy at Sears, the IRS, Castletons, and at the doctors office. She was always immaculately dressed throughout her long career in sales and bookkeeping. After working for 48 years she finally retired at 82. She enjoyed knitting and cooking and kept herself very busy maintaining her lovely home. She loved her little dog Trixie that she rescued from a shelter soon after Glenns passing. They were great company for each other.
She is survived by her three sons, Patrick, Daniel, and Braden (Fiona); her two grandchildren, Jerad and Jason; and her two great grandchildren, Jaiden and Caitlyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Lou Calhoon; her brothers, Lawrence and Robert McCully; her husband, Glenn; and her daughter-in-law, Dianne Parker Donley.
