Margaret Borger HunterMargaret Borger Hunter, 96, passed away in Ogden, Utah on August 30, 2011.She was born November 27, 1914, in Slaterville, Utah, a daughter of Holke (Henry) Borger and Grietje (Margaret) Vander Heide Borger.Margaret married Lawrence T. Hunter on August 3, 1932 in Ogden, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on October 26, 1933. Lawrence passed away July 2, 1986.Margaret was a member of the South Ogden LDS Burch Creek 8th Ward. She had worked at the Utah Tailoring Mills, JC Penny Company and the Thomas Dee Memorial Hospital. Bowling was Margarets most loved hobby. She bowled most of her adult life. She also enjoyed reading, hand-work, and gardening. Her greatest bowling achievement came after forty and some years of bowling. At Seventy four years of age she won the Utah Bowling Association Senior Tournament. Margaret went on to win the 1990 Womens International Bowling Congress Senior Championship title. Surviving are two daughters-in-law: Ilene Hunter and June Seppa, three grandchildren: Gary (Deborah) Hunter, Glenda (Lynn) Gibson and Suzanne (Steve) Croft, four great-grandchildren: Cody Izatt, Chase Morgan, Josh Gibson and Tyler Gibson. Also surviving is one sister, Tieny Rosella Allred of Ogden. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Jeanette Hunter, sons Larry W. Hunter and Glen T. Hunter, eight brothers and four sisters. Graveside Services for Margaret will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. As per Margarets request there will be no formal viewing. Services will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden.
