Maria Gomez, 93, of Santa Clara, CA passed away on June 6, 2023. She was born on April 9, 1930, in Ogden, Utah to the late Mr. and Mrs. Sebastian Briseno. Mary was a very giving and considerate person who cared deeply about her family, friends, nieces, nephews, and wanted everyone to be happy. She had a special place in her heart for her daughters and their families, Judy Vincent (Dave), Jobina Gomez, Christina Pullos, and Carolina Prout (Bill), grandchildren (11), great grandchildren (28) and great-great grandchildren (10) and believed they could do no wrong. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Jorge M. Gomez and her grandson, Jesse Flores. She attended St. Justins Catholic Church. She was devoted to her faith. Her interests were taking care of all her grands which included cooking their favorite foods and being involved in their activities. She loved to cook, sew, knit, quilt, read, and take walks around the park. A funeral mass for Mary will be held on August 11th at St Josephs Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, Utah at 10:00am. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
