Born November 11, 1953, to Antonia Perez and Melton Garza Sr. in Kenedy, Texas, Maria Inez Meza, lost her battle to cancer at the age of 64, passed away on April 25, 2018, in North Ogden, Utah. Maria worked as a seamstress at Ogden weber Assist Partnership for four years. She married Leopoldo Meza Jr. in Lubbock, Texas on June 3, 1979, they enjoyed 27 years of marriage before Leopoldo passed away. Maria enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, going to church, and working. She had pride in her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Maria is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Meza, Margaret (Vincente) Gonzalez, and Antonia (Isidro) Zuniga; grandchildren, Leopoldo Angel Zuniga, DeAndre Zuniga, and Victorica Grace Gonzalez; and brother, Juan Garza. She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonia Perez and Melton Garza Sr.; brothers, Gabriel and Melton Garza; and her husband, Leopoldo Meza Jr. Services will be held at Iglesia Apostolica Embajadores de Cristo, 753 W. Lake Street, Ogden, Utah 84401, on May 4th, 2018, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Services under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
