Maria Joyce Hopkins Wilson, 85, passed away at home on October 17, 2014. She was born October 8, 1929 to Harry Hopkins and Edna Wood in Soda Springs, Idaho. She married Stanley McKinnon Wilson Jr. on October 9, 1950. Maria raised her family in Pleasant View. She served in the Primary for many years working with the scouting program. She loved hiking, camping, fishing and hunting with her family. Maria made many beautiful quilts and special Christmas treats for her family. She worked at the IRS for many years. Maria is survived by her brother Greg (Sharon) Hopkins; sons Danny (Arlette), Mac (Loena) Wilson; 12 grandkids and 20 great grandkids. Maria was preceded in death by her husband Stan, her parents, her daughter Sue Williams, daughter-in-law Annette Wilson, and her siblings Ava Evans, Clarice Anderson and Delano Hopkins. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Leavtts Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden at 2:00 pm. A viewing for family and friends will be held Wednesday, October 22 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leavitts and prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836-36th St., Ogden.
