Marian Nyland HillOgden-Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marian Nyland Hill, 90, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Monday, January 9, 2012.She was born February 17, 1921 in Ogden, Utah to John Stephen Nyland and Mary Ellen Price. On May 15, 1942, Marian married Carl Dee Hill in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They gratefully became parents to their son, Gary Lee Hill, on May 20, 1951. Carl passed away on May 5, 2009.Marian is survived by her favorite son, Gary and wife Dellene, favorite grandson, Wyatt and wife Holly and her special great-grandson Carson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Lucille Turner and Afton Weinberger and their spouses. She worked as an Executive Assistant in the Engineering Department of the Forest Service, regretfully retiring after 42 years. She was still hoping to find work a week prior to her death. She cherished most the role of wife, mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank all of Marians caregivers at the Gardens Assisted Living for the loving and attentive care given to her during her stay. Also, thanks to the Hospice Care of Northern Utah for their compassionate assistance during her final days. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, at 11:00 a.m. The family will meet with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at Leavitts Mortuary. There will be no viewing. Interment Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
