IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marie
Bramwell Bullock
September 29, 1949 – September 1, 2024
Marie Bramwell Bullock unexpectedly returned to her Heavenly home early Sunday morning, September 1st, 2024, at the young age of 74. She had been recovering from a long battle with Crohn's disease at Sandstone North Park Care Center. We know that Marie was welcomed home with open arms by the entire Clyde and Rachel Bramwell family, and her long wait is now over to hold her beloved firstborn baby boy Paul Jr, who passed away after only one month of life.
Marie was born September 29, 1949, in Ogden, Utah to Clyde Howard Bramwell and Rachel Burton Bramwell. She was the second youngest of five siblings. Early life in the Bramwell home was spent playing outside, climbing trees, helping in the garden, riding bikes, and enjoying the weekly water turn of flooding the lawn. She maintained close relationships with her brothers and sisters throughout her life. Marie had Christlike love and cared for her mother Rachel for 15 years, and her older sister Mona, while they prepared to depart this world. Marie would put any project on hold to care for someone in need.
Marie graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1967. She had many friends. She married Paul W. Bullock, and they had three children. They lived in the beautiful Huntsville Valley for many years and were later divorced.
Marie was a devoted mother raising her children and cherished being a stay-at-home mom. She never missed her children's activities, and was very athletic, enjoying snow skiing, softball, bowling, golf, camping, and motorcycles. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake and make candy. Marie loved to travel in her early years and was able to explore Europe, Thailand, and Singapore. In her later years she enjoyed vacationing with her grandkids to Hawaii and Disneyland. She sewed dresses, made pajamas, and could fix anything! She loved to garden, bottle food, and was recently learning how to freeze dry foods. Marie loved animals, especially dogs. She is now reunited with Pepper, Lady, and Max and left behind Maggie, who will join Stephanie's dogs Luna and Duke. Marie's favorite tool was a Leatherman and she always had it in her pocket!
The gospel of Jesus Christ was important to Marie. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her relationship with and testimony of the Savior has grown stronger as she has faced many difficult health challenges these past two years. She fulfilled many church callings including counselor in the primary presidency, young woman camp director, compassionate service coordinator, and primary teacher. She enjoyed participating in church services this past year while in the hospital and care center.
Later in life she was employed by the IRS and retired after 28 years. There she met Greg West, her fiancé. They each rode Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed many adventures together. They spent most of their time with Greg's loving family. They enjoyed watching movies, having dinners, and spending holidays together. Greg's heart is broken along with the rest of the family. Marie will be dearly missed. They were planning many more fun experiences to be shared.
Marie is survived by her two children Stephanie Petersen (Mike), and Steve Bullock (Traci) and grandchildren Sam, Nick (Shantelle), Jenni, Ben, Emily, Jake (Whitney), Josh (Kayla), Jaxon (Michelle), Jed, Conner, Cooper, Jake, and 7 great grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Rachel Bramwell, brothers Dennis and David, sisters Diane and Mona, and her first son Paul Jr.
A special thanks to Dr. Jean McGuire, Dr. Robert Moesinger, the nurses at McKay Dee Hospital, and the nurses & staff at Sandstone North Park Care Center in Bountiful. Lastly, the family would like to express their extreme gratitude towards Judy and Edd Caulford and their family for their life-long friendship and love.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 9th with her viewing starting at 9 a.m. and her funeral service starting at 10 a.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
