Marilyn Harris Covington, 84, passed away August 8, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born February 25, 1932 to Carl J. and Annie C. Harris in Randolph, Utah. Marilyn graduated from Ogden High School. She married Robert O. Covington July 21, 1955 in Ogden, Utah. Be it a fine meal, a great sale or good company, Marilyn found joy in the aspects of everyday life. She was a friend to everyone around her and could routinely be found on her phone or visiting with company. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting sweaters for her family and watching Survivor or Dancing with the Stars. Most of all, Marilyn loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) Covington; children, Cindy Covington of Ogden, UT, Roger Covington of Ogden, UT, and Wendy (Brent) Ovard of Murray, UT; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren with number 18 on the way and six great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Rae Jean Masseth and her granddaughter, Melanie Otterstrom. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. A Viewing will be on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Leavitts Mortuary and Saturday prior to services from 1:00 to 1:45 PM.
