Marilyn Ruth NelsonMarilyn Ruth Nelson, age 78, was reunited with her sweetheart Keith Leavitt Nelson on April 21, 2011 in Ogden, Utah. She was born June 16, 1932 in Oxford, Harlan County, Nebraska, the first of nine children born to Arthur Frederick Wahl and Nellie Laurine Lester. She grew up in Nebraska and Washington, as well as Ashton, and Sugar City, Idaho. Marilyn married the love of her life, Keith Leavitt Nelson, December 28, 1982, in Ogden, Utah. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be missed by her surviving daughters, Christine (Bobby) Delise, Melinda (Devern) Anderson, and her sons Kim (Melissa) Nelson, and Merrill Nelson, in addition to 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, James (Wilma) Wahl, Norwalk, CA., Fred Wahl, Alexandria, VA., and sisters, Faye (Grand) Leavitt, Idaho Falls, ID., Renee (Gerald) Quick, Boise, ID., Patricia (John) Davis, SLC, UT., Kathryn (Craig) Ricks, Rexburg, ID., and sister-in-law June Nelson Gordon, SLC, UT.Preceding her in death were her husband, Keith, her parents, a brother, Zane, a sister, Vedene, and grandson Brian Anderson. Services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the services. Interment in Lewiston City Cemetery, Lewiston, Utah at a later date.The family wishes to express their thanks to the Wasatch Care Center and Heart to Heart Hospice, and friends and family who have assisted in any way.
