Marjorie B. Gardner, 95, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017. She was born on July 10, 1922, in Salina, Utah to Charles Ray and Berdella Beal Evans. She spent her early years in Coalville, Utah, and attended Brigham Young University. Marjorie married Dean A. Gardner on September 1, 1943, in San Diego, California. They solemnized their marriage in the Salt Lake Temple on November 1, 1943. She is survived by her brother-in-law and his wife, a granddaughter, a great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean; her daughter, Toni Christensen; and her sisters, RaeDell Ashley and VaLeen Rich. A graveside service will be held November 11, 2017, at 11:00 am at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden. Marjorie and Dean established a scholarship fund for the English and Athletic Departments at Weber State University. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation on their behalf.
