Obituary

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Marlene Evelyn Sturm Lund passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 93 years of age.

She was born on April 8, 1933 in Ogden, Utah to Dellno Henry Sturm and Evelyn Nancy Triplett. She graduated from Ogden High School and married Raymond E. Lund Jr. in Ogden, Utah. They celebrated nearly 65 years of marriage.

Her greatest love was her family and she always had time to help them, and remembered each person’s birthday. She loved golfing (scoring 4 holes-in-one!), bowling, yoga, dancing, playing cards, and always had a sewing or needlework project in the works. Her sewing and needlework creations were shared with family and friends and published. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, inducted into the WBC Bowling Hall of Fame. She taught and performed many types of dancing including winning awards for her belly-dancing.

Marlene is survived by two children Lynette L. (Michael) Satterfield, Roy, Utah, and Connie Rae (Torris) Brand, Roy, Utah; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Special heartfelt thanks to Avamere Assisted Living attendants, and especially Trevor Zezula and MJ Martin for the excellent attention and care they gave to Marlene and her family.
