Elaine passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by love on September 29th at the age of 80. Elaine was born July 22nd, 1937 to John Jack and Ruby Holden. Elaine had one brother Norman (Karen) Holden and one sister Carolyn (Don) Tallman. She married Doug Tallman in 1955; together they had four children, Jim Tallman, Lesa (Wayne) Werner, John (Rachel) Tallman, and Clint (Diane) Tallman. Later she married Max Covey on April 16th, 1984 and became the stepmother of an additional five children, Darla (Mark) Richards, Kellie (Buddy) Auble, Trudy (Robert) Lewis, Paula (Deven) Grist, and Max (Katie) Covey. Elaine had 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Elaine was a Snowbird for 10 years. She had a mobile home in Yuma, Arizona and a home in Roy, Utah. She also enjoyed traveling down the Columbia River Gorge and down the Oregon and Northern California Coast. She enjoyed family gatherings and was the hostess with the mostest. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, daughter, and brother-in-law. The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Mohr, the R.N.s, the CNAs, and the social workers of Hearts for Hospice for their care of Elaine the last several months of her life. We would also like to express a special thanks to Elaines relief society home teacher Gail Wadman, who could always get a smile from her and never let her down the last few years. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah at 11:00 am with a viewing prior from 9:45 - 10:45 am. Services have been entrusted to Leavitts Mortuary. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
