"We love you a Bushel and a Peck"

Marybelle Travis East

May 6, 1931 to April 9, 2024

Our Mom passed away on April 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving daughters and several loved ones.

She touched so many lives with her positive attitude, kind heart, cheerful disposition, and loving manner. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister aunt and friend.

She was born in Idaho Falls on May 6, 1931 to Frank Travis and Lily Caldwell Travis.

They later moved to Utah where she met her husband Alfred G. East on July 24, 1949. They had 2 daughters Judy East Dockstader and Janet East. She adored her 7 grandchildren 19 grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She helped raise and guide each through life with love.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 sisters, one brother and a great grand baby. She is survived by her 2 daughters, grandchildren and 2 sisters June Decaria and Norma Jean George.

She enjoyed her family immensely. She took great pleasure in planning parties so we could all be together. Every event was well thought out in advance. Her Christmas party was the event of the year. We all looked forward to and planned around "grandmas party". She had such a fun loving personality and was always the life of the party.

The family wants to thank all of the staff and caregivers at Avamere at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living for their kind love and care.

We want to give a special thanks to Denise Stephens from Inspiration Hospice for her tender care to our mom and family during her transition.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday April 21st in the activity room at Avamere at Mountain Ridge( 1885 Skyline Dr, South Ogden). Family and close friends can visit between 4:30 & 6:30pm.

In lieu of flowers she requested donations be sent to St. Jude's Hospital.
