Matthew Castile Marquart, 33, passed away on October 25, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born to Mary (Clint) Mills Hopson and Mike (Kelly) Marquart in Ogden, Utah on December 10, 1987. Matthew attended both Fremont and Layton High Schools where he made many friends and touched many lives. To know Matt was to love him. He was such a kind and generous soul. He always had a smile and a kind word, or a sarcastic comment for all he knew. Matthew's sense of humor was unmatched. He was a natural comedian and could bring a smile to anyones face. In 2019, he married the love of his life, Baylie Messerly. Together they built a life they loved, nestled in the foothills of Ogden, Utah. Matthew loved those foothills and referred to the mountains surrounding the house as his mountains. Matt was the father of four wonderful children Deagan 14, Camden 9, Romee 5, and Calvin 17 months, whom he absolutely adored. Being a father was one of Matts greatest joys. Prior to his passing, Matthew worked for D&J Grading. Always a hard worker, he was valued by his coworkers for his positive outlook and can-do attitude. The family would like to thank the D&J Grading crew for all their love and support during these hard times. Matthew is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his parents, wife, and children, as well as his sisters: Tricia, Jamie, Jessica, Ivy, Madysun, and Tayler, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Celebration of Matthews life will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
