IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maxine
Corwin
August 18, 1935 – September 22, 2025
Maxine Lucille Paulsen Corwin beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 90 into the arms of her loving husband Donald Corwin on September 22, 2025.
Born on August 18, 1935, in Green River, Wyoming to Frederick Paulsen and Meda Schultz. Maxine's life was filled with remarkable moments and cherished memories.
Raised in South Ogden and Washington Terrace, Maxine attended Weber High School and graduated in 1953.
Maxine met a handsome man in a Military uniform while roller skating at the Berthana Roller Rink. There was an instant connection between the two of them. Their connection blossomed, leading them in exchanging vows, in Ogden, UT on July 8, 1953, and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple with their three children on September 25, 1968. Maxine and Don were married for 15 years upon his passing in 1968. She was apart from her handsome husband for 57 years. How exciting it must be and what a grand reunion for the two of them to be together again.
Maxine conquered so many things as a young widow and throughout her life. She loved decorating inside and outside of her home and took much pride in this. She enjoyed bowling, genealogy, camping, traveling, crafts, and making candy every Christmas with her family. She also enjoyed NFL football and cheered on her favorite teams.
Her family brought immeasurable joy to her life. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply.
Maxine was cherished by her family and friends, and her absence leaves an irreplaceable void.
Maxine is survived by her daughters Vivian Foy and Kathie (Troy) Tingey. Her grandchildren Martin Tingey, Ashley (Jay-R) Santos, Sara (Braeden) Rehmer, great-grandchildren Kamden Santos and Izay Einfeldt, and her brother Roy (Nancy) Paulsen along with nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear.
In the hearts of those who loved her, Maxine now joins her husband and parents, her son Kenny Corwin, son-in-law Wayne Foy and grandson TJ Tingey along with brothers Frederick Paulsen Jr, Neill Paulsen, sister Carol Brugger and their spouses and many other loved ones who have passed before her.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Emily Shanafelt for her unwavering love, kindness and friendship shown to Maxine throughout the years. Additionally, they extend their appreciation to First Choice Hospice for their role in Maxine's care.
Special thanks to Maxine's daughter Kathie Tingey for her tireless commitment in taking care of her mother Maxine at any time of day or night.
