It's with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved friend and father Michael Allan Martin (Mechanic Mike) 58, of Ogden, who passed away unexpectedly July 18th, 2024.

Mike was born in Cocoa Beach Florida to Marjorie and Dale Martin on June 3rd, 1966. As a child he moved with his family to Southern California, later making his way to Utah where he made many friends and claimed many hearts.

A man with a head full of ideas, Mike was well-known for his unique inventions, but his superpower was the ability to fix almost anything. He was always working on his friend's cars and motorcycles or tinkering on a project. If you needed a car part or a special tool, he had it for you, if he could find it.

Mike fancied himself a comedian, always popping in on his friends and making them laugh with his outlandish jokes and his uncanny ability to give words suggestive double meanings.

Mike touched the lives of all who knew him. His sudden absence leaves a void in all of our hearts.

Mike is survived by Marjorie Martin (mother) and Steve Martin (brother) and his children Amanda (Lori), David (Cathy), Tristan (Melanie), Grace (Tiffany) and Teague (Machelle).

A celebration of life potluck will be held on Saturday, August 10th 7-9pm at West Stadium Park 1650 Jefferson Ave. for friends and family to share stories, laughter, tears and our favorite foods.
