Michael Eldon Rogers passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017. He was born in Ogden, Utah on November 25, 1947 to Clarence M. Rogers and Grace Boekweg Rogers. He graduated from Bonneville High School. Mike married his sweetheart Nanette Housley on May 8, 1992 in the Ogden, LDS Temple. Mike was an accomplished electrician. He worked for A-Plus Electric and retired from Weber State University, a place where he loved the people he worked with and made many long lasting friendships. Mike had a gift for tinkering and could fix or build anything you needed. He had a great love for scouting and served many years as Assistant Scout Master. He loved the boys and enjoyed seeing them accomplish their goals. He was a mentor to many and loved teaching them how to do things. Mike loved to help anyone in need. Most of all he was a great big tease and will be greatly missed by many. Mike was an active member of the LDS Church. Mike is survived by his wife Nanette and a brother Steven Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a brother; Brent Rogers. The family would like to thank Tami, Val, Miller and Jim from Encompass for their kind and loving care. Funeral services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Monday June 26, 2017 at 11:00 am. Friends and family may visit on Sunday from 6:00 8:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 10:45 am. Interment will be at Washington Heights Memorial Park.
