Michael T. Wheeler "Mike" returned to our heavenly father on May 6, 2023, after a valiant courageous battle with COPD.
Born and raised in Ogden, Utah, Mike was the youngest of 7 children to his parents, Earl and Myrna Wheeler. During his youth, he was a very proud All-Star "Babe Ruth" baseball player, playing on teams throughout Junior High and High School. After graduating from Ogden High School, Mike was proud to serve in our military for several years as a member of the Utah National Guard. He then joined the U.S. Navy where he served in the U.S. Saratoga during his deployment in the Desert Storm War. After returning home, he spent his time working as a CNA and a roofer.
On June 21, 1996, Mike married his wife, Edith Reese Edwards. He loved the outdoorsy things in life, such as camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He also loved all of the special trips to Arizona with his dear wife. Everybody that met Mike knows how much he loved a hot cup of coffee paired with a good conversation.
He is preceded in death by his father Earl Wheeler, his mother Myrna Wheeler, his sister Louise Cole, and his stepson Jameel Louhinejadian.
He is survived by his wife Edith. His father and mother-in-law, William and Rebecca Reese, and mother-in-law Lucille Staples. Stepsons, Justin Edwards and Jeremy Edwards. Grandsons, Dominick Rodgers, Jordan, Payson, Tayson, and Raiden Edwards, Chasten Fuller and granddaughter, ShaKenzie Fuller.
Also surviving are his brother Albert Wheeler (Diana), sister Gay (Bill) Moore, and sisters Dana and Betty Wheeler. Not to forget the many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, and fur babies.
Without a doubt, he will be greatly missed!
