Mikel Chad Brett passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the age of 50. After struggling with his inner demons for more than 30 years, he has finally found the peace he's longed for and deserved. Chad was born June 23, 1968, in Ogden, Utah to Vicki and Larry Mikel Brett. Chad had an amazing heart and was always the first one to ask how anyone was doing. He also had a natural way of being so unselfish, that many people considered themselves lucky just to have met someone like him in their lifetime. He was known for his quick wit and infectious smile. He would always find a way to make others around him smile. Chad was also an amazing carpenter and craftsman. He enjoyed working and building with his hands. He also enjoyed watching movies, playing and watching football and being with his loved ones. He is survived by his mother, Vicki (Dan) Leonardi; His two sisters; Rachael (John) Tallman and Amy (Jordan) Briskey. His 'brother' Dean Brett, and several nephews and cousins who deeply cared for him. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Mikel Brett.
