Monte Lee Pearson's Obituary

Our dear husband, father, son and brother was called back way too soon by Heavenly Father to return to Heaven to finish his journey on December 22, 2017. Monte was the youngest child born on December 2, 1961, in Burley, ID, to LeRoy and Rheta Pearson. Monte graduated from Clearfield High School in 1980. He married his love, Eva Cathleen (Cathy) Pearson, June 11, 1982, in Roy, UT. Monte worked for what is now known as Sierra RV for 18 years as an RV Technician. Then in July of 1995, he went to work for Western Zirconium. He was recently promoted as a Control Room Operator. Monte and Cathy had one son, Royce Lee Pearson. Added joy was when Royce married in May of 2017 to Kelsi Whitaker. Monte became an instant grandfather to Kayden and Kamdyn. Monte loved being a grandfather and thought of his name as Grumpy Grandpa as an endearment. Montes past time loves were camping, fishing, hunting, and most recently riding on his side-by-side UTV. He was looking forward to camping and riding the sand dunes with his family. Montes home was his castle; he enjoyed his garden and loved to cook. He did not have idle hands and was always busy with one project or another. If it wasnt canning or remodeling, he would do woodshop projects. Monte was not much of a TV watcher but he enjoyed watching The Voice with his wife. Montes only expressed wish regarding his death was to be cremated. Monte is survived by his wife Cathy; his son Royce; daughter-in-law Kelsi; two grandsons Kayden and Kamdyn; mother Rheta Pearson; and two sisters Cherylyn (Larry) Campbell and Lee Ann (Greg) Riddle. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Pearson, and grandparents, Marie and Ron Elquist; Bud Pearson and Delores Lynch. Family will greet friends on Friday, January 5, 2018, from 9:00 am to 10:45 am with funeral services at 11:00 am at the Clinton 12th Ward Chapel, 1708 West 800 North, Clinton, UT 84015. Inurnment at Clinton City Cemetery. Services under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.leavittsmortuary.com
