Nancy Marie Donaldson Brough Apr 3, 1945 Nov 17, 2011In loving memory, we recognize the life of Nancy Brough, faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She spent her last hours here on Earth on a date with her husband, showing us all by example how quality time spent with ones spouse is one of the secrets to a happy marriage. She died unexpectedly of a massive brain aneurysm. She was born April 3rd 1945 to James and Freeda Donaldson in Gillette Wyoming, the baby sister to Jeanne, Carollyn and Christanna. She was a convert to the LDS church as a teenager and dedicated her whole life and heart with unwavering faith to the gospel. She moved to Ogden to attend Weber State College where she met her future husband, and eternal companion Lewis Brough. They were married in the Logan temple on June 21 1968. Nancy was the mother to five children. Nancy serviced as a ward Relief Society President, years as a primary teacher, and a Cub Scout leader seeing all three of her boys from little bobcats to Eagle Scouts. She was always engaged in her church activities and loved to be a part of the conversation. Nancy was also very active in the community and served 3 terms on the Riverdale City council and was dedicated to the idea of open space and Weber Pathway. She played a major role in the creation of the Riverdale river trail system. Nancy was proud of all her children and grandchildren and never let any one of them come or leave without a hug and an "I love you." She is survived by her husband, her 5 children, James (Kimberly), Aaron (Tomoko), Annette, Nathan (Rachel), and Kristine (Ted). She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one grandchild. All of her children are forever grateful that she chose to be their mother. She was always grateful for her wonderful husband and showed her love to him through her daily actions and the twinkle in her eye when she talked about him. She will be extremely missed.Funeral services will be held Tuesday Nov 22 at 11:00 am at the red brick Riverdale 1st and 7th ward meeting house at 1056 W. 4400 S.
