Our beloved mother Nedra Blackinton Visser passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2012.She was born on October 10, 1924 in Devilslide, Utah a daughter of Wallace Foster Blackinton and Alpha Clapier Blackinton. Nedra married William C. Visser on September 1, 1951 in the Little Chapel of The West, Las Vegas, Nevada. They were married for 53 years. She graduated from Ogden High School. Nedra was employed by Trace Turner Insurance, Citizens National Bank and later became an insurance agent for Brent Van Wagoner Insurance and All American Insurance; from which she retired at the age of 74. Nedra was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Nedra loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She had a great love for music. She enjoyed working in her garden and had a great love of flowers especially roses; she had some of the most beautiful roses we ever saw. Nedra was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will deeply be missed.Surviving are her two sons, Scott Visser, Craig (Phyllis) Visser; one daughter Debbie (Ryan) Anderson; brother Dave Blackinton, sister Marjoire Bell, who has been her best friend and by her side for the past several years. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, April, Justin, Stephen, Megan, Alex, Caitlin, Sean, Nikki, William and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two siblings.
