Neil (Papa) Thomas Shrider, 68 passed away December 7th, 2014 at home of natural causes. He was born March 7, 1946 to Daniel Orville and Ruth Myers Shrider in Ogden, Utah. Neil attended Ogden High School. He married Rebecca F Shrider on March 17, 1983. Neil served his country proudly for 15 1/2 years in the Navy where he served as Radio-man. He served during the Viet Nam war protecting the shores, and in thePhilippines. He worked as a Network Specialist at Hill AFB for 22 years after his military career. Neil is survived by his wife Rebecca F Shrider, his brother David Shrider, his sons Dennis Shrider, Leland Shrider, Ronilo Jualo (Carmen Jualo), his daughters Kristin Barney Stern and her husband Jason Allen Stern, Eden Jualo Gutierrez (Ruben Gutierrez), and Wendi West Vincent.Neil had 16 grandchildren: Britney, Samantha, Jordan, Jordan, Marshall, Zoey, Meghan, Carson, Mason, Karissa, Christian, Giron, Chassie, Katrina, Alona, and Laneisha. He had three great-grandchildren, Donovan, Kaleb, and Brooklyn. Neil was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ralph Shrider. A Celebration will be held Thursday from 5:00-8:00 pm December 11, 2014 at Leavitts Mortuary 836-36th Street Ogden, UT.
