Nulda Richards Telford, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. She was born on May 3, 1929 in Malad, Idaho to Victor Chivers Richards and Mary Ruaine Bell. Nulda graduated from Malad High School in 1947 and attended Idaho State University. She married Frank J. Telford on September 20, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. Nulda worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years. During her time at the IRS, she supervised and directed many different units. She retired in 1989. She loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She also loved traveling and dancing to Big Band music with Frank. Throughout her life, she was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many different callings. Nulda and Frank also served three missions together. They served at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, an education mission in Seoul, Korea, and in the Bern Outreach Center in the Zurich Switzerland Mission. Nulda loved her family very much and treasured the time she was able to spend with them. She understood that family is the most important thing in life and always cherished the thought of families being together forever. Nulda is survived by her husband Frank, and daughter Nancy (Bob) Blair, four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and her brother Lynn Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shadow Mountain Ward, 5191 Old Post Road, Ogden, Utah. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street in Ogden, and Monday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at West Weber/Taylor Cemetery. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Thatcher Brook, Mountain Ridge, and CNS Hospice for the love and care they provided for Nulda. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimers Foundation or the General Missionary Fund on Nuldas behalf.
