Our fun-loving father & grandfather, age 83 passed away peacefully in the early hours of December 25, 2021. He was born July 13, 1938, to Ellis Lynn Wood & Annie Gunell in Tremonton, Utah. He spent many years on his uncles farm in Corrine, as well as his familys home in Clearfield. He graduated from Box Elder High School. He married Sherlene Holmes Wood and together they had four children; they were later divorced. He married Coleen Zinie Wood & inherited four fun loving stepdaughters, (Anna, Becky, Cheryl & Missy); they were later divorced. In December 1997 Woody married the love of his life, Lois McGavin. They shared 22 happy years together. Since her death on October 8, 2019, his life had been very lonely. A great reunion happened this Christmas morning. He is survived by his four children Jeff (Linda), Brett (Heidi), Annette (Thomas), Danise (Mike), two stepchildren Rene & Mike McGavin, one sister Valaine Lapchenski, 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, all of whom he was extremely proud. His legacy will live on through them. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, his parents, one Brother, Theron (Beverly), four sisters, Doris (Garth) King, Valoy (Bob) Watson, Janice Wray, Sharon (Bill) Hurst. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Marks Hospital Structural Heart Center and Alpine Heath Care and a very special thanks to his home health nurse, Carli. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing held prior to service from 10:00-10:45 p.m. at the Mortuary.
