Pamela Jill Jensen Bates April 8, 1944 ~ September 12, 2014 Our mom passed away peacefully Friday, September 12, 2014 in the care of Rocky Mountain Care, Clearfield Utah. Pam was born the 8th of April 1944 to Henry J. Jensen and Vesta F. Smith Jensen in Ogden, Utah. She attended Ogden City Schools and was proud to obtain her G.E.D in 1991. Pam married Larry P. Whitney in 1961 and they later divorced. She married Warren R. Bates in October of 1965. Warren and Pam divorced in 1989. Pam was a housewife and raised two children, Tracie and Travis. She was home every day when they got off the school bus. Later, Pam worked for General Foods and Kraft Food Services. Pam is survived by her daughter Tracie Bates, son Travis (Christine) Bates, and 3 grandchildren, Lindsay Cloyd, McKenzie Cloyd, and Aiden Bates. Her nephew Randy Jensen, nieces Shelley (Scott) Hancock and Jill (Frank) Lopez, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and her childhood best friend and sister in law Janet Jensen Scothern. Preceding her in death are her parents, brother Joe Jensen, sister Nancy McHoul, nephews Michael (Scooter) McHoul and Kelly Powell. Graveside Services will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836- 36th Street, Ogden, UT, Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Family will meet friends prior at Leavitts Mortuary from 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Travis and Tracie wish to thank all of Pams friends and family who have kept Pam in their hearts over the years. Special thanks to the staff of Rocky Mountain Care for the unconditional love and care they have shown to our mom. She had several friends there that she talked about often.
