Pamela Froerer Hernandez, 53, died after a 2 year battle with cystic pancreatic cancer on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at the McKay Dee Hospital. She was born on Sunday, January 17, 1960, in the old Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, to George Eugene and Marilyn Mower Froerer.
She was a member of the LDS Church. She graduated from Bonneville High School. She attended Weber College for 3 years and was a member of Lamba Delta Sigma. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she met Tony Daniel Hernandez. They were married on June 10, 1995, at the Graycliff Lodge in Ogden Canyon.
Pam held many jobs working in the gift shop at McKay Dee Hospital, a bar tender and a manager of 7-11 while in Las Vegas, then returned to Ogden to work at Shopko, IRS, UPS, and finally found her favorite job as a mail carrier. She thrived on keeping busy and making new friends. She was a very outgoing talented woman.
She is survived by her husband, Tony, dogs Soda and Butch, parents; sister Melinda (Mike) Robbins, brother David Eugene Froerer and 5 nephews Alex, Jacob, Adam, Matthew and Ethan.
She had hoped to donate her body to research but recent health problems denied her of that privilege; however, she was able to donate her eyes for research.
A graveside service will be held at the West Weber Cemetery, 4700 W. 900 N. West Weber, where she will be buried on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
Funeral under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
