Patricia R. Abbott /Blackburn, 78, passed away quietly in her sleep May 19, 2016. She was born October 4, 1937 to Theodore McIntyre and Jessie Stevens in Salt Lake City, Utah. Pat graduated from West High School. She married Walter J. Abbott in Salt Lake City, Utah who preceded her in death. She married Wallace Blackburn in Layton, Utah, who also preceded her in death. She worked at National Service and later worked at Hill Air Force Base where she retired. She is the mother of two sons, Walter J. Abbott Jr. and David T. Abbott. She has two grandchildren, David J. Abbott and Hailey B. Abbott, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. After retirement Wally and she built a beautiful home in Angels Camp, CA. , but moved back to Utah due to Wallys health. Pat always thought of Utah as her home. She was an avid collector of dolls, dragons, and Kachina dolls. She also loved to travel. She will be missed by many friends and family. She never met a stranger. Pat Blackburn is survived by her two sons Walter (Renee) and David (Lisa) Abbott and her sisters, Tami Healey, Gerry (Roy) Shaw and a brother, Jack (Karen) McIntyre . Family will greet friends Monday, May 23, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St. Ogden, UT. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11:00 am at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 -36th St., Ogden, UT where a viewing will be held one hour prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 am.
