Patricia Lynn Kirby Barney, 66, passed away Friday, December 24, 2017, at Heritage Park Care Center after a long debilitating disease (Parkinsons) that limited her from enjoying the things she loved. She enjoyed making candy, fishing, gardening, doing hair, and crocheting. She was born on August 18, 1951, to Joseph F. and Audre Marilyn Taylor Kirby in Ogden, Utah. Patricia graduated from Davis High School. She married Brent Barney in Ferron, Utah, and they later divorced.
Patricia often had her sassy pants on. She loved spending time with her family and dancing, especially to Watch Me and Low. She had a big heart and loved underprivileged and challenged people.
She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Michelle Loosemore; brother, Glenn (Tami) Kirby; two sisters, Linda Whitaker and Tammy (Brian) Christensen; three grandchildren, Lyndzi Beck, Saxon (Kaylynn) Elliott, and Myles Parkhurst; three great-grandchildren, Chloee Nigh, Afton and Ayla Elliott; along with many nieces and nephews.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph F. and Audre Taylor Kirby; grandparents, Cloyd Kirby, Bernice Shaffer, Byron Taylor and Merle Oliff; and one grandson, Elija Micheal Mills Nigh.
A graveside service will be held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery in the late spring.
A memorial service will be held at the North Central Baptist Church, 5430 S 1900 W, Roy, UT 84067 on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 5:00 pm.
