Patricia Lee Fife Carter left this world on May 24, 2015 to be with the love of her life, after a short battle with liver failure. Pat was born on November 5, 1952 in Ogden, UT to Charles L. Fife Sr. and Norma G. Henderson-Fife. Pat graduated from White Pine High School in Ely, NV in 1971. On October 10, 1971 she eloped with the love of her life, Gary L. Carter, in Ely, NV. They resided in Ogden, UT where they raised their three daughters and only son. Family time consisted of trips to Pineview Dam and camping trips to Weber Memorial Park up Ogden Canyon with friends and family, where the camping was free and the kids could run and climb. Pat and Gary loved bowling and were on many bowling leagues over the years. They also loved and cheered loyally for the Utah Jazz. They loved to get away on The Fun Bus to Wendover, NV. She loved to listen to country music. She attended many concerts where she insisted on buying a t-shirt. She greatly loved and missed her dogs, Snowy and Rambo, which to her were also her children. Over the last few years she started collecting monkeys. She loved to go feed the ducks at Beus Pond behind the Dee Event Center. She enjoyed hanging out in the parking lot of the apartment complex she lived at with her neighbors. She loved her kids and grandchildren very much and loved spending time with each one of them. Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her dad, Charles L. Fife Sr; three brothers-in-law, John Hoover, Neil Taylor and Terry Joe Potts. She is survived by her children: Susie (Marc) Wilson, Preston, ID; Darrell Carter, Logan, UT; Samantha (JR) Foote, Ogden, UT; and Gerri (Angel) Perez, El Paso, TX. She leaves behind her grandchildren: Skylar, Taylor,Stephanie Taylor-Davis, Travis Foote, Angela Foote, Star Kearl, Jacob Wilson, Ulysses Perez, Jazmine Perez, Shelby Wilson, and Zoie Foote; and one great-grandson Hurly Friessen. She is also survived by her mom,Norma G. Hernerson-Fife; her brother, Charles L. Fife Jr., Ogden; and two sisters, Norma Hoover, Ogden, UT; Linda (Scott) Rice, Ogden, UT. She also leaves behind her father-in -law Joe E. Potts, Ogden, UT; sisters-in-law Merrilin (Stever) Vargo,Ogden, UT and Karen (Daryl) Van Roekel, Ogden, UT: and brother-in-law, Dallas Potts, Laughlin, NV; along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, UT. Family will meet friends Friday, May 29, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday prior to services from 10:00 - 10:45 am. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
